  • Veterans Point Gardens

  • Tree and bench dedications along the Waterfront Trail
Town of Ajax runs a tree and bench dedication program on the waterfront that allows residents to provide a memorium for loved ones along the Ajax waterfront.

  • Rotary Park in Ajax
Rotary park lies at the connection of the Duffins Creek to Lake Ontario. It's a spectacular park with beautiful views, an accessible playground, picnic grounds, concessions and a water splashpad. Nestled in among mature trees, this park is a favourite day trip for residents in Durham Region.
  • Carruthers Marsh Pavilion
Constructed as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building, many green initiatives have been incorporated to make the pavilion energy efficient and sustainable, reducing future operating and maintenance costs for the Town. The building itself is constructed using products with low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and materials with high recycled content, and the landscaping incorporates natural features, such as meadows, trees, shrubs, and grasses. The Town has also identified the new community pavilion as one of three locations integrated into the 2009/2010 Waterfront Recycling Program.

Pickering Village
Charming heritage district located about 3 km from Waterfront Trail at Church and Kingston Rd. Variety of restaurants and shops. In 2011 a new community performing arts centre will open.

Restoration of St. Francis de Sales Church
The Town is restoing this lovely old church and converting it into an accessible performing and visual arts venue. Located in Pickering Village near to the Waterfront Trail.
