Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail Interpretive Program

Position: Information Resource Technician

Objectives:

-compliment and incorporate new changes to improve the Trust’s E-library section of our website by:
-preparing pdf publications
-reviewing existing files
-draft intros for publications
-research on website survey technology/methods
-assist with promotional activities (ie. events during bike week)
-administer our End-to-End program
-write article for the Labatts People in Action Program Action Update Publication

The Trust is a small, dynamic office where everyone pitches in as a member of our team; the successful candidate will provide administrative support and handle reception duties.

Requirements:
-must have been registered full-time at a secondary, post secondary or vocational school during the preceding academic year and be returning to post-secondary education in the upcoming academic year
-be under the age of 30

Skills:
-strong communications skills (verbal and written), successful candidates will be required to submit a writing sample
-excellent interpersonal skills
-computer literacy (strong word processing skills)
-experience with creating web-ready materials
-familiarity with Dreamweaver a definite asset
-previous office experience
-strong project manager who can translate plans into action
-strong interest in waterfront issues
-independent worker who requires minimum supervision
-enthusiastic and self-motivated

Wage:
$9.00 / hour, 35 hours per week for approximately16 weeks
Duration: May 3rd – August 20th
