Bike Train updates July 2nd;
Toronto-Niagara Bike Train Transportation Update
If you are planning on taking the Friday night Toronto-Niagara Greenbelt Express Bike Train service with GO Transit to connect to the GWTA new travel information is now available.
Bike Train has learned that GO Transit will allow passengers with bikes to make the connection at Union Station during Friday night rush hour. This means that you can arrive at Union Station anytime before the GO Train 6:20pm departure, July 2.
However as there are no reserve tickets, early arrival is recommended. With a capacity for 36 bikes, and some overflow, this could be a busy run. Bike Train staff will be on hand at Union Station to provide assistance to GWTA participants.
Upon arrival at Niagara Falls station, 8:24pm, a van will be available to transport luggage to Niagara-on-the-Lake / Fort George start point. Cyclists get to enjoy their own warm-up ride, a gentle 20km along the off road, paved Niagara River Recreational Trail.

Meal Plan for 2010:
In response to comments received from both participants and partners, the Waterfront Regeneration Trust is launching a Meal Plan in 2010 that will offer GWTA participants an opportunity to pre-pay for most of the GWTA meals. All participants who purchase this plan will receive a bracelet providing them with 6 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 2 dinners along the route. The "MP" helps to create flexibility and more convenience to the riders and community partners during the tour.
As part of the "MP", the GWTA, along with our community partners have teamed up with AlPha (Association of local Public Health agencies) to create these meals that will provide the proper sustenance for full days in the saddle, followed by nights of social activity. To purchase the plan please follow the link;
http://www.eventsonline.ca/events/waterfront_trail_meal/
The menus will be announced in the coming weeks, and will be posted for all to see and plan for!

To purchase this totally redesigned short sleeved retro jersey please go to: http://www.eventsonline.ca/events/gwta_jerseys/
**Jerseys must be ordered by May 7th at midnight, and will be available for pick up at the trip start on July 3rd, in Niagara-on-the-Lake. No orders taken after May 7th, no shipping available.
