| We are looking
for volunteers who would like to be an integral part
of the Second Annual GWTA. As part of your duties you
will be supporting cyclists over the 680km of Waterfront
Trail around Lake Ontario and into the communities along
the shores of the St. Lawrence. We’re looking
for:
Cycling guides and
driving guides (32 guides in total, including
7 driving guides). Cycling guides should be experienced
riders who understand the rules of the road.
Registration and other
support: People willing to staff registration
desk and provide location support.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- Be available for the scheduled tour dates July
3rd-July 11th/09 (July 4th tour start)
- First Aid/CPR
- Basic knowledge of bicycle mechanics
- Ability to read maps, understand/learn logistics
and safety aspects of a guided tour
- Be available for a training session this Spring
- Have customer service experience
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Excitement & enthusiasm about cycling, the waterfront
& adventure.
All volunteers will receive:
- T-shirts
- Accommodations (camping as part of the tour)
- Meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
- Water bottle
- Waterfront Map books
- Be a part of the inaugural GWTA, experience new
communities and meet new friends!!!

form in order to participate in the 2009 Great Waterfront
Trail Adventure.
