I’d like to bring my spouse/friend/parent/partner but they do not cycle, what would they do?

I’d like to bring my family but the kids are young and need to stay on off-road sections of trail and will tire long before the day’s distance is reached.

The daily distances are too long-- I’d like a more relaxed experience.

The Personal Support Vehicle option has been created to provide maximum flexibility for both the rider and non rider alike. A PSV registrant brings their own vehicle and is a driving participant that is a member of a team, family or comes as a non rider with a partner.

Each day’s online itinerary has a special section called Attractions/Personal Support Vehicle, which outlines the places and partners that can assist you with customizing your tour. Depending on how you choose to plan your day, other great options to take advantage of are the Young Rider and Walking Routes (featuring off-road sections of Waterfront Trail) that are also detailed in the itineraries.

As a PSV registrant, you will have the ability to:

• Ride the mileage each day that you choose, and switch off with a teammate or family member at the half way point, or alternate riding days: With a total of 730km over 8 days, not everyone will want to ride the entire distance day. This way everyone can participate in the form of a relay and enjoy the ride.
  
  
• Visit community highlights at your leisure and create your own itinerary while your partner(s) ride: There are numerous community destinations, views and experiences to be enjoyed along the Waterfront. As a driver of your own vehicle you are able to design your schedule each day, or cheer your partner(s) along at designated locations.
  
  
• Control both your arrival in Niagara-on-the-Lake and departure from Cornwall at the end of the trip: This also provides you with other traveling capabilities post GWTA should you choose to extend your adventure.
  
  
• Register at a price specific to Personal Support Vehicle participants: Most tours are either for riders or non-riders, but rarely are they for both. As a non or partial rider you do not require the same on road support or logistics that are necessary for a cyclist, but you are still an integral part of the tour and all of the celebrations that make up the GWTA. The PSV pricing reflects this and makes for a more inclusive event.
